how i would approach the job search

- connect with two to three local recruiters even in a remote job market to get a real pulse on hiring trends
- ask recruiters direct questions like what are the hot jobs and what companies should i research instead of just applying on job boards
- take interviews outside your target role as a junior to figure out what you actually enjoy and are good at
- show up consistently to meetups and conferences even if you stay quiet at first, presence matters more than talking
- connect with every guest and commenter you interact with online, networking is really just making friends
