- workplace culture used to mean free beer and ping pong but that disappears once everyone works from home so culture has to come from somewhere else
- regular reviews are a sign of good culture so if you have not had one in years that is a red flag worth questioning
- treat one on ones as real conversations and not just strategy talks since sometimes people just want to connect
- explain the why behind new initiatives at work because skipping that breeds distrust instead of buy in
- when interviewing ask to speak with other team members about culture and request a second interview if you still are not sure
