- its fine if your why is simply chasing more money, just be honest about it and own that reason
- write down and rank your top priorities like money, title, work life balance, and commute before you search
- know your full compensation package including benefits and 401k costs before you start looking, not after
- ask about benefits earlier in the process instead of waiting until the offer stage to find out they are bad
