are you scared of programming w/ francesco ciulla
guest: francesco ciulla, developer advocate at daily.dev
- switching careers into tech later in life is doable, francesco started coding professionally around age 34 or 35
- reset your mindset like a fresh casino bet, decide what you would do now if you were starting at 18 instead of being held back by past choices
- ai coding tools are powerful assists but still need a human expert to catch mistakes and handle unexpected issues like a major package problem
- rust is gaining attention for being as powerful as a low level language while simplifying developer experience, but its not recommended as a first programming language since tutorials often reference other languages
- stop worrying about what people think and get out of your comfort zone earlier, publishing work publicly matters more than waiting until you feel ready
