how to work with a recruiter

- look for recruiters who hit the two and two rule, two years at their company and two years in your local market
- insist on a zoom call instead of just a phone call, since you would not trust a financial advisor you never saw face to face
- find one good recruiter, then ask them who else in the city does good work and get introduced
- bcc five recruiters you trust on a job posting you find and ask if they are working that role or have leads on it
- keep checking in if a recruiter goes quiet, since recruiters are busy and ghosting is usually not personal
